Ranchi/Delhi: Padmashree Ram Dayal Munda has been nominated to the Prime Minister’s National Advisory Council. He now has the distinction of being the first person from Jharkhand to be nominated for the prestigious post. PM Manmohan Singh called up Dr.Munda personally on Wednesday evening to inform him about the inclusion.

The National advisory Council decides the policies and directions of the UPA. Only a few selected are nominated as members to the council.

Dr. Munda has been internationally acclaimed for his invaluable contribution to the development of Tribal Art and Culture. He was the former Chancellor of Ranchi University.

Ranchi: After the first act drew its curtains by BJP withdrawing its support to the 4 month old JMM government, the act-2 has begun with both the Congress as well as its ally JVM meeting to form an alternate government.

Governor M O H Farook has given a breather of seven days to Shibu Soren for proving his majority it seems that his Party would only play second fiddle to both the Congress as well as the JVM. Any further revolt within his Party would result only in imposition of President’s Rule in the state which no one really desires.

The scenario strongly emerging is a new alliance headed by Babulal Marandi with a JMM Dy. CM and outside support from Congress. The chances of independent Bandhu Tirkey being roped in as a minister can not be ruled out.

The Governor is likely to convene the House on 31st for Shibu to prove his majority which everyone feels would be achieved easily and Shibu resigning immediately thereafter to pave way for Marandi, Shibu meanwhile is slated to be inducted into the Manmohan Singh Cabinet.

The State and its legislators are not prepared for another poll right now, and would muster enough courage and power only after a gap.

Ranchi: Governor M O H Farook summoned CM Shibu Soren to Raj Bhavan and gave him seven days time to prove his majority in the house. The situation arose after BJP withdrew its support to the four month old Shibu led JMM government. BJP was part of the government but parted ways after JMM failed to live up to its promise of handing over the reins to BJP.

JMM is now looking upto the UPA for support to retain its leadership
but the picture was not clear as to how the new coalition was being formed. Act 2 of the drama is likely to continue for another week.

Ranchi : The BJP finally put an end to the month old drama of power politics in Jharkhand. Party’s General Secretary and former CM Arjun Munda along with State President and Dy.CM Raghubar Das handed over the letter of withdrawal of support to the Shibu Soren led JMM government in the State.

Now the Shibu government has been reduced to a minority and would seek a helping hand from the UPA to retain power. The Congress and its ally JVM are likely to discuss the possibility of an alternate government as none of the political parties are in favor of a mid-term election so soon.

It may be recalled that the State is practically running on a rudderless government for the past 25 days since BJP announced the withdrawal of support after Shibu voted in favor of UPA in the Lok Sabha on the cut motion. Later Shibu apologized publicly and offered the CM’s post to BJP and Shibu himself resigning from the CM post. BJP had its own set of problems in choosing a leader to head the government as factionalism surfaced within the Party.

JMM in the mean time kept changing its stance at the drop of a hat and proved an abject embarrassment to the BJP High Command. 25th May was set as a deadline for Shibu to resign but as more than half of the JMM legislators revolted opposing a BJP led coalition, the BJP had to take the final step of withdrawing support a day earlier than the set
deadline.

All eyes are now on Governor M O H Farook for his next action as the Shibu Soren government has been reduced to a minority after the withdrawal.

रांची: झारखंड विकास मोर्चा (झाविमो) अध्‍यक्ष बाबूलाल मरांडी ने कहा कि इस प्रदेश को सबसे ज्‍यादा किसी पार्टी ने नुकसान पहुंचाया है तो वह है भाजपा। पर्याप्‍त संसाधनों के बावजूद इस प्रदेश की 40 फीसदी आबादी को दोनों शाम भोजन मयस्‍सर नहीं है। मरांडी अपनी पार्टी के चार साल पूरे होने के अवसर पर रांची में आयोजित कार्यकर्ता महाधिवेशन के अवसर पर बोल रहे थे। उन्‍होंने कहा कि पिछले सात महीनों से इस राज्‍य में जो घिनौना राजनीतिक खेल खेला जा रहा है उसे अब जनता भी समझ चुकी है। आनेवाले दिनों में भाजपा और झारखंड मुक्ति मोर्चा (झामुमो) को इसकी भारी कीमत चुकानी होगी।

रांची से 10 किलोमीटर स्थित कुटे ग्राम में झाविमो का दो दिवसीय पार्टी-महाधिवेशन 22 मई को पूर्वाहन शुरू हुआ। विराट लकदक पंडाल में मंच से उदघाटन भाषण करते हुए बाबूलाल मरांडी ने कहा कि चुनावों में उनकी पार्टी को भले ही आशातीत सफलता नहीं मिली। लेकिन, जनता के बीच उनकी पार्टी स्‍थापित हो चुकी है। उन्‍होंने कहा कि दूसरी ओर यह भी सच है कि झारखंड की जनता ने राष्‍ट्रीय पार्टियों को खारिज कर दिया।

कार्यकर्ताओं को संबोधित करते हुए मरांडी ने कहा कि जनता उनकी ओर आस लगाये बैठी है। एक मायने में, झाविमो को लिये यह समय जनता की कसौटी में खडा उतरने का है। जनता ने उनकी पार्टी को प्रदेश की पहरेदारी सौंपी है। इस प्रदेश को बचाने के लिये झाविमो कार्यकर्ताओं को एडी चोटी एक करना ही होगा।

मरांडी ने राजनीतिक पार्टियों में आयी गिरावट के प्रसंग में राज्‍य की वर्तमान सरकार की डावांडोल स्थिति पर चुटकी ली। उन्‍होंने कहा: अब जनता इन नेताओं पर कबतक विश्‍वास करे जो रांची में कुछ कहते हैं और दिल्‍ली पहुंच कर उनका राग बदल जाता है।

Ranchi: Jharkhand’s politics has reached a point where any speculation would ultimately be proven wrong, thanks to CM Shibu Soren’s never ending U-Turns on his ‘statements’. Tuesday was a day of jubilation for the BJP in the State as it was practically settled that Arjun Munda would take over the reins from 25th but the very next day Guruji’s statement to the media that he had never said anything about resigning shook the BJP from here to Delhi spreading gloom.

The Party is now in dilemma whether to continue bearing this abominable behavior of JMM or withdraw support to put a permanent stop to this never ending cat & mouse game. Leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj is of the firm opinion that BJP should waste no further time in withdrawing the support to JMM. Similarly many other senior leaders of the Party echoed her feelings and felt that any further dilly-dallying would only further harm the Party in the State.

Right from the onset BJP’s effort to head the government appeared to be an attempt at futility as the voice of dissent from more than half a dozen JMM MLAs persisted. After the Tuesday press conference of Arjun Munda and Shibu Soren jointly, the number of dissidents has risen to nearly a dozen. Even within the BJP it was not a smooth path as there were divided opinions on the leadership.

On the other hand both the Congress as well as the JVM is refraining from being overtly harsh on Guruji while mincing no words in castigating the BJP for pressurizing the JMM Supremo to usurp the power. BJP has been cutting a sorry figure right from day one after Shibu voted in favor of the UPA in the cut-motion voting. Even after the BJP Parliamentary Board passed the resolution to withdraw support, the temptation of chance to rule in the State took precedence over policy decisions. The withdrawal letter was put on hold and now it hardly looks relevant as JMM obviously has other plans to retain its throne. Congress-JVM would happily grab the opportunity to ensure that BJP sits in the opposition.

On Friday Guruji again hinted that he would contest the Assembly by election to retain his CM’s post. This is only possible when the present government resigns and Guruji once again heading a new coalition. Thus constitutionally he would again get another 180 days to file his nomination for a by election seat.

It may seem a mockery of the constitutional provisions but never the less, undisputedly a strategy reeking of ingenious politicking

रांची: भाजपा आलाकमान के निर्देश पर झारखंड में राजनीतिक झंझट सुलझाने में भाजपा महासचिव और पूर्व मुख्‍यमंत्री अर्जुन मुंडा को सफलता मिलने लगी है। मंगलवार को तीन घंटों तक चली बैठक के बाद झामुमो, आजसू और भाजपा ने यहां सीएम रेसिडेंस में पत्रकारों को बताया कि 25 मई तक शिबू सोरेन इस्‍तीफा दे देंगे। तत्‍काल बाद भाजपा राजभवन जाकर दावा पेश करेगी, साथ में समर्थन पत्र लेकर झामुमो भी जाएगा। तय हुआ कि पहले 28 महीने अर्जुन मुंडा मुख्‍यमंत्री के रूप में सरकार चलायेगे। बाकी 28 महीने वापस झामुमो को यह हक सौंप दिया जाएगा। कुल मिलाकर देखें तो झारखंड में नई सरकार के गठन का मामला अब जाकर सुलझता नजर आ रहा है। हालांकि अभी भी कई अडचनें आयेंगी।

यूं तो शिबू सोरेन ने मीडिया के सामने यह तो मान लिया कि वह अब एनडीए कोऑर्डिनेशन कमिटी के चेयरमैन पद संभालेंगे, लेकिन उन्‍होंने यह स्‍पष्‍ट नहीं किया है कि वह मुख्‍यमंत्री पद से कब इस्‍तीफा देंगे। पता चला है कि कल की बैठक में झामुमो को काफी दबाव में यह निर्णय लेना पडा है। दरअसल, भाजपा दो टूक फैसले पर उतर आयी थी- या तो शिबू इस्‍तीफा देकर सत्‍ता सौंपे अथवा भाजपा अपना समर्थन खींच लेगी।

माना जा रहा है कि अब सरकार बनाने की प्रक्रिया में अर्जुन मुंडा को अभी और भी पापड बेलने होंगे। उधर, उनके ही दल के डिप्‍टी सीएम रघुवर दास भी नाराज हैं। दरअसल, दास भी मुख्‍यमंत्री पद के लिये रेस में थे, लेकिन झामुमो द्वारा आदिवासी मुख्‍यमंत्री के सवाल पर उनका नाम छंट गया। इधर, नई सरकार में दलगत मंत्रियों की संख्‍या में भी बदलाव निश्चित है। भाजपा से मंत्रियों की संख्‍या घटेगी, झामुमो में इजाफा होगा, आजसू और जदयु में कुछ नये दावेदार सामने आने के मूड में हैं। कुल मिलाकर देखें तो मुंडा जी को अभी और कसरत करनी होगी।

यही नहीं, मुंडा अगर मुख्‍यमंत्री पद की शपथ लेते हैं तो उन्‍हें विधानसभा में विश्‍वास मत हासिल करना होगा। जाहिर है विक्षुब्‍धों से भरे झंझटिया झारखंड अब भी कई परीक्षाओं से गुजरना है । सरकार बनी भी तो कम से कम एक पखवारा और..।
