Conax Expands India Presence to Mumbai

Conax, one of the top three security providers for digital TV and content distribution world-wide and the leading security provider in India, announced it has established sales and support operations in Mumbai. The company first launched continental India operations in Delhi, 2001, followed by founding Conax Access Systems Private Limited in 2003.

India to host the 3rd International GCA Conference

The Global Communication Association (GCA) and Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) jointly invite academicians, policy makers, corporate executives, representatives from NGOs and research scholars to contribute papers on “Global Village – Are we there yet?”. The papers will be presented during India Conference 2009, organized by The Global Communication Association in alliance with Public Relations Council of India from November 26-27, 2009 at The Lalit Ashok Hotel in Bangalore.

Mathur New ED of RDCIS, SAIL (Ranchi)

Ranchi: A.S.Mathur has taken over the charge of RDCIS from N.K.Jha today. Jha has taken over  as Executive Director (Works) of Bokaro Steel Plant. Mathur, a graduate in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Kanpur  is now heading SAIL's Research & Development Centre for Iron & Steel (RDCIS)  w.e.f. from today i.e. 30th September, 2009. Mathur was heading Centre for Engineering & Technology(CET) since October, 2006.

Working Abroad Indians, Globally Most Corrupt - Transparency India

Transparency India's latest survey declared that working abroad Indian businessmen are the most corrupt in the world. At least 30 per cent of 2,742 business executives surveyed across the world regard Indians among the most corrupt when doing business abroad to "speed things up", according to a report by an NGO Transparency International India (TII) here.

Basically, the kit comprised of a shoe with a sensor that tracked the distance covered, time taken, pace and calories burned by a runner. Now with the iPhone a common sight, a host of applications for fitness enthusiasts are up for grabs.
